Amelia Glaser è professoressa di letteratura all'Università della California, San Diego, dove è anche direttrice dell'Institute for Arts and Humanities e titolare di una cattedra di studi giudaici. È autrice di Jews and Ukrainians in Russia’s Literary Borderlands (Northwestern UP, 2012) e Songs in Dark Times: Yiddish Poetry of Struggle from Scottsboro to Palestine (Harvard UP, 2020). È curatrice di Stories of Khmelnytsky: Competing Literary Legacies of the 1648 Ukrainian Cossack Uprising (Stanford UP, 2015) e, con Steven Lee, di Comintern Aesthetics (U. Toronto Press, 2020). Tra le sue traduzioni figurano Proletpen: America’s Rebel Yiddish Poets (U. Wisconsin Press, 2005); Yaryna Chornohuz's dasein: Defence of Presence (Jantar, 2025); e, con Yuliya Ilchuk, A Crash Course in Molotov Cocktails di Halyna Kruk (Arrowsmith Press, 2023) e Silenced Dressed in Cyrillic Letters di Iya Kiva (Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute, 2026). Il suo attuale progetto editoriale, Ukraine: Nation of Poets, è dedicato alla poesia contemporanea ucraina.
